Aquarelle B&B Bed and Breakfast

Out and About . . . .

Life is a beach, a river, a rainforest so make the most of our natural environment

The region within 1 hours drive of Aquarelle bed & breakfast offers a wide variety of places to visit, events, attractions and just things to do.  The following provides just a few examples.

Hungry Head

The mangroves and crystal clear waters of Urunga Lagoon are easily accessible via the 800 metre Boardwalk the extends from the playground and safe swimming area to Urunga Heads. The Boardwalk includes informative signs about the flora and fauna of the Lagoon, as well as providing easy access to the southern training wall for fishing in the Kalang and Bellinger rivers.

Bongil Bongil National Park

Bongil Bongil National Park is located between Sawtell and Mylestom. This park provides short walks within littoral rainforest areas with access for push bikes. Some walks are located directly behind the coastal sand dunes and display an array of local birds and animals.

Dorrigo National Park and Rainforest Centre

The Dorrigo National Park World-Heritage-listed Rainforest is a scenic 45-minute drive up the escarpment. Walks vary from short’n’easy to long’n’challenging.  See the view from behind a waterfall on the (medium) Crystal Showers walk . .
